The Rebel Astrologer

My Exact Akashic Records Process for Channeling My Natal Chart's Wisdom

I had questions about which houses my planets are in, so I went right to the source + got answers. Now you can, too.

I’ve been struggling lately with direction, focus, how to be of service (but I also know I’m in luteal and Mercury retrograde is ALMOST over and there’s a full moon coming up and… you get it.)

So instead of spiraling like I normally do, I pulled up my birth chart and stared at it for a long time.

There’s a weird thing about my chart that I’ve noticed isn’t true for everyone: my chart changes a LOT depending on the house system I use.

Google says there are more than 20 different house systems, not to mention all the different astrological frameworks there are (Western, Vedic, Chinese, etc).

For simplicity’s sake, I use the tropical zodiac (the 12 signs you know) and originally started learning astrology using the whole sign house system (one sign per house).

And in whole signs, I have my sun, rising (the sign that was ‘rising’ on the horizon at the time of your birth), Saturn, and Uranus all in the first house occupied by Sagittarius.

And for a while, I made that make sense.

Sun in Sag in the First House

The first house is the self, identity, how you present yourself, your physique, and what others see first.

The sun is our core self, our consciousness, who we are and who we came (to Earth) to be.

Sagittarius’s goal is to understand through lived experience. Aka, the sign who came here to fuck around and find out (FAFO). We tend to be optimistic, warm, friendly, philosophical people who are not afraid to “do it for the story.”

First house sun people are here to be leaders, poster-children for the energy and aspects of whatever sign it lands in. They often find themselves in leadership roles even if they don’t want, ask, or see themselves in them.

Sun in Sagittarius in the first house = I came here to FAFO and then lead other people to do the same.

Ok, cool. But also, there’s a problem.

Having the sun in the first house is a very public, forward facing position. It’s what we might call a “prominent placement”. It’s the FIRST THING people notice about you.

The sun represents consciousness, our core identity. Someone with a first house sun is someone you’re going to NOTICE, and they will likely make sure of that.

(First house sun people can be a tiny bit focused on themselves, because the sun is the center of the solar system and the first house is the house of self.)

Also I’m just realizing that I’m writing about myself so maybe it is true. Lol

I was about to say: I also have my rising sign in Sagittarius (the rising aka ‘ascendant’ is always in the first house), and the rising is basically the representative of the first house. It’s also different from the sun sign in that it’s the persona or mask you wear and it’s what people first notice about you.

So they’re different but in my case, not so much.

EXCEPT HERE’S THE PROBLEM.

I don’t always identify with having a first house sun.

I’m quiet, reserved, and would rather not speak or be given attention unless I’m comfortable or have a really strong opinion about something.

I mostly identify with having a 12th house sun.

The Twelfth House in Astrology

The 12th house is the house of the subconscious, dreams, places of rest (retreats, ashrams, hospitals). It’s the house of I’d rather be meditating in the akashic records.

It’s less small talk, more let’s talk about the universe.

Or better yet, let’s not talk and just be in the energy together.

And when I look at Placidus or Equal Houses (other house systems), I have a 12th house sun.

The only place I ever have a first house sun is whole signs.

So am I a first house sun or a 12th house sun?

I needed closure on this because as a Sagittarius, my goal is understanding through lived experience.

So I went into my Akashic records and I interviewed my Sun. Here’s what it said.

Below the paywall is my exact process on how I opened my records, connected with my Sun placement, and got the clarity and closure I needed to move forward with my life mission and purpose (so you can do the same.)
